Our Own Dr. John McCarthy named Washington Family Physician of the Year

The Washington State Academy of Family Physicians named our John McCarthy the Family Physician of the Year for 2012! This prestigious award is given annually by WAFT to a family physician who exemplifies a compassionate commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of people and communities thorughout Washington.  The Spokane County Medical Society states in their newsletter the Messenger "Dr. McCarthy has been described as a doctor's doctor who demonstrates a remarkable blend of clinical excellence, community service, and professional leadership.  He has also been described as the quintessential teacher of family medicine."  We certainly appreciate his wonderful teaching in our program as one of our core faculty, as well as his leadership in bringing the teaching entities together in Spokane.
